Well, Im finally back on the road. I had a 555 injector fail about a year ago, thats right, a YEAR AGO, and it was right around the same time My gf was having my first baby..My baby girl is by far the best thing I have ever done, besides owning z cars. Bar none!! It has been a crazy year for me to say the least...
Well, anyway, The injector went south and I was trying the dremel method for the first time on my virgin plenum with sand stones, drill bits, dremel, just about anything I had in the garage to dremel the plenum so I could change the injector without plenum removal. No big deal right? lol
Well, long story short, after a couple hours of drilling, redrilling, sandstone, etc, and I was like wtf? This isnt working very well..So, I pull up tt.net faq and tech and notice a faq about using a carbide burr. I buy one, use it about 5 seconds, and RIPPP! Hole Right through the damn plenum.
So, I figured I would just upgrade and this was my chance to get a chrome plenum while I was there. The car sat and sat and I have been running crazy the last year to say the least.
So, fast forward to last night. To make a long story even longer, ShawnKong300zxttgt28rshbomtvdadada with his sexy girlfriend, who is very easy on eyes, :) removed my plenum, did the water bypass on the back of the plenum, swapped out the injector, swapped over the throttle bodies, etc, etc, etc and we put it all back together.
That Poor girl stood around and watched us work for 4-5 hours! She is a keeper Shawn!! :) Everything went smooth besides a couple boost leaks which were addressed and the car feels great!.
Just drove the car to work today for the first time in a year without boost and it feels good to be back.. Got my car inspected this morn on the way as well...All is good and just wanted to say thanks to KONGSHAWN300ZXTTDODODOKAYSIRASIRA. You are a good friend and great mechanic. Cant wait to ride in your widebody.. That thing is gonna be sick! Also thanks to Shawns gf for waiting patiently for his ass, tt.net for the info and thanks to Z1 for the chrome J31 plenum. Good to be back!!!Special sidenote, Let Shawn drive my Z after the fact..He is missing his tt badly..He is probably still smiling!!!
